Welcome

As newly elected president of the 2017–2018 PCHS Alumni Association I would like to thank the
Board for your confidence in me to carry on the tradition. I look forward to working with each of you
and I welcome all input to make this the best year ever.
I want to give a big THANK YOU to Jimmy Wescovich ‘67 for all he has done to make this organization what it is today. He has given countless hours and donated so many items to the Alumni to be used for years to come. This has given us the ability to focus our funds on other areas such as the scholarship fund. We all wish you the best in this new adventure in your life and expect many pictures of all your travels.
The board has elected to change our meeting to the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 PM. Place and time will be published on our web site at www.pchsaa.org. Meetings are open to all members and we encourage all to come and visit with us when you can. Your input is valuable.
As most of you know our Reunion Celebration format was changed two years ago. This format has afforded everyone more time to visit with former classmates. It takes an army of helpers to prepare for the reunion and we are looking for volunteers. Please contact us through our web site (www.pchsaa.org), our e-mail (info@pchsaa.org) or our Facebook page (Pass Christian High School Alumni Association). It may be a lot of work but we have a lot of fun and our reward is seeing everyone the night of the Reunion celebrating with fellow Pirates.
During my time on the board I have noticed one thing about our board members and that is their love of their years spent at Pass High. At the time of graduation we all had the same goal, graduate and get out of town. Many went on to college, some went straight into the workforce, some got married and started families. We were taught to read, write, add and subtract and even history but most of all we grew up with a love of family and friends. Although time has taken many of us to other places and towns we have never forgotten our years spent at Pass High.See y’all in April!!!

ONCE A PIRATE, ALWAYS A PIRATE!

PCHSAA INSTALLATION OF
2017-2018 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The beautiful Randolph Center, steeped in history and nostalgia, set the tone for the Installation of the 2017-2018 PCHSAA Board of Directors on July 17, 2017.
Prior to the oaths of office, Secretary Debbie Fournier ‘69 confirmed that each officer had duly been elected to the position he/she was about to assume. In challenging officers to perform their duties to the best of their abili-ties, Catherine Cerra Myers ‘67 waxed back to Pirate days of yore in explaining the duties of each office and by pre-senting a symbol of that office as one would have in days when the able crew navigated the seas on its many adven-tures.
President Elise Starita Mitchell ‘68 will wear the captain’s hat as Walt Lonnborg ‘65 will survey (spyglass) the horizon for adventure. Secretary Debbie Rachuba Fournier ‘68 will record (log) the events of all meetings as Peggy Ladner Hertz ‘70 will safely guard the monies (treasure chest) of the association. Members Susan Witt-mann ‘71 and Elaine Pavolini Duprey ’71 will guide (compass) the association on a straight course while Past President Jim Wescovich ‘67 will serve as the anchor. Golden Class (68) Representative Laura McDonald Pickich ‘68 will contact classmates for the Reunion Celebration (April 2018) and will lead them in fellowship (tankard). News-letter Editor Charlotte Sutherlin Zimmerman ‘67 will scribe (quill) all the antics and activities of the Association. Walt was also presented a mirror because he has (and will continue) to reflect, as PCHSAA Pirate, all the great things PCHS alums have accomplished.
